On Monday, January 14, 2008, California State Assemblywoman Sally Lieber officially recognized Cancer Schmancer's commitment to revolutionizing women's cancer healthcare and Fran Drescher as a patient healthcare advocate at a ceremony held at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Fran was presented with a resolution on the floor of the Assembly chamber.

While at the State Capitol, Cancer Schmancer also initiated its first statewide initiative in
California by introducing a bill that will put in place a state mandate to ensure all women are offered a TVU (transvaginal ultrasound) as part of their basic gynecologic exams. Ain't that exciting?!

The great '08 is off to a great start. Come join us for history in the making!

Be well,
