Cancer Schmancer introduces new women's cancer healthcare legislation in California

On Monday, January 14, 2008, California State Assemblywoman Sally Lieber officially recognized Cancer Schmancer's commitment to revolutionizing women's cancer healthcare and Fran Drescher as a patient healthcare advocate at a ceremony held at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Fran was presented with a resolution on the floor of the Assembly chamber.

While at the State Capitol, Cancer Schmancer also initiated its first statewide initiative in California by introducing a bill that will put in place a state mandate to ensure all women are offered a TVU (transvaginal ultrasound) as part of their basic gynecologic exams. Ain't that exciting?!
