On Tuesday, September 25, 2007, Fran spoke to a Cancer Caucus at a Gynecologic Cancers and Disorders Briefing hosted by Congressman Steve Israel (D-NY).  She urged law makers to allocate funding for Johanna’s Law, a bill that she helped pass by unanimous consent through both houses of congress, which was signed into law by President Bush as the Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act on January 12, 2007.

The CEO of Home Shopping Network saw me on The View last month and was so moved by what we're doing that she invited me to come on as their surprise celebrity host for the hour to talk about the Cancer Schmancer Movement in front of 89 million households! WAHOO. I'll be taking calls, accepting donations, and offering very special incentives for donors at the $100 and $500 levels. My folks and Esther, in true Fran style, will be part of the Cancer Schmancer hour as well. So, tune in and get all your loved ones to do so too!

The June 21st national launch of the Cancer Schmancer Movement was an overwhelming success! With the support of the media, we successfully spread our message across the country via major TV, radio, and print publications. In true Fran style, a high profile Cancer Schmancer launch party helped further bring focus to the cause.
