Starting a Squad - Instructions
Young or old, everyone is affected by cancer. By starting a Cancer Schmancer Squad on your campus, you will play a vital role in educating women on the earliest warning whispers of cancer, transforming them from patients into medical consumers and making them better partners with their physicians.
Your squad will arm the women in your community with the knowledge they need to live long and healthy lives. Whether you’re from a big city or live in a small town, make no mistake that your efforts to end late stage diagnosis of cancer will save lives today. Anyone who ever tells you that you’re too small and insignificant to make a difference never slept in a bed with a mosquito! So let’s lock elbows to eliminate late stage diagnosis of cancer. Follow these easy steps to start a squad on your campus:
1. Read the Tips on Starting a Squad and Squad Charter
2. Decide upon a squad captain who will serve as the point person between your squad and the Cancer Schmancer staff.
3. The squad captain should register your Squad, using the following form.
4. Once the Cancer Schmancer staff approves your Squad, we will send you a confirmation e-mail and copy of the Cancer Schmancer Tea Party DVD to get started.
Note: A Squad merchandise package is available for $150 and includes 2 paperback copies of the New York Times best seller, Cancer Schmancer, 20 copies of the Cancer Schmancer Tea Party DVD, and 20 Cancer Schmancer recyclable tote bags. Please contact squads@cancerschmancer.org to purchase.
5. Set a date for your first squad meeting and join people around the world in revolutionizing women’s health history!
