From Nutritionist Stacy Kennedy:
A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, Omega-3’s, and lean protein will help to keep your body and immune system strong. However, each person has individual nutrient requirements based on a variety of factors, including specific type of cancer and treatment. Some gynecologic cancers, including certain types of ovarian cancers, can cause bowel obstructions, in which case a low-fiber diet may be recommended. However, before making any modifications to your eating plan, discuss this with your doctor and ask to see a registered dietitian.
