I am a survivor because of my friend Mary

My friend Mary developed Uterine Cancer and kept telling her GP doctor that something was wrong and to run a blood test that picks up cancer, her doctor continued to say no it is just menopause, by the time they found the cancer she was in stage four cancer and did not make it. While she was going through this she told me if you have bleeding or spotting after menopause go to a gynogologist doctor. Two years after she passed I had what I thought was a period but I had had my last period two years before - so hearing Mary's words I found a gynogologist and went to her. I was very lucky my oncologist told me because the first biopsy that was done found the cancer. Two weeks after I had a complete hysterectomy and was cancer free - no chemo or radiation.- however two weeks before my operation my only son was killed and I could not understand why God would give me cancer, cure me but take my son. I decided he wanted me to pass the word about uterine cancer, since I am just a regular person it has been hard, but I have been going person to person. I have told about 500 women and asked them to tell five more the signs of uterine cancer and that caught in time it is one of the easiest cured cancer. So Thank you Ms. Drescher for your work in telling women. I will continue to tell women I run into and maybe we can keep another woman from dying from an easily treated and cured cancer.
