Ovarian Cancer Survivor

Ovarian Cancer: Ug, the "silent killer" I'm a survivor 11 months! Found early, Stage 1C, meaning the cancer had spread to the outside fluid. Luckily for me, I was symptomatic. Bloating, indigestion, frequent urination, pain. I huge cyst, hysterectomy and six chemos later...here I am blessed, living life to the fullest - cancer free. Never ignore a symptom...devastating does not begin to describe those four words "you have ovarian cancer." I'm glad to be a survivor, but I'm also sad that it was in my body...I will continue my checkups for the rest of my life and hope and pray for a low CA level. If anything good can come from this it's unconditional love, no sweating the small stuff anymore and everything is so much better and beautiful...Life is a gift. God Bless everyone! Now I say Cancer Schmancer! My life took on this urgency, I plan to live it to the fullest. Thank you Ms. Fran for caring. For those of you still fighting, remember to fight like a girl - never give up.

My best friend...fought like a tiger, cried, lived with the side effects of chemo and the terror of the word "cancer"...came out of it all victorious facing it and saying "CANCER-SCHMANCER!" Bravissima, B!
