Dandelion & Thyme Tea

When the filter in your car is dirty, it must be changed. So the filter in our body needs to be cleaned occasionally, too. The organs that serve as filters (kidneys, liver, lungs, colon) get dirty over time. This makes them increasingly less effective and stressed with a hefty workload creating an environment for  disease. That's why it's important to flush these filters out regularly by using the following herbs and plants that scrub the toxins from your liver, lungs, kidneys, and skin.

Almond Milk with Ginger &Turmeric

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces of raw fresh almond milk
  • 1” of fresh ginger
  • 1” of fresh turmeric root
  • ½ cup of ice
  • 2 dates pitted

How to Sprout Lentils

  • Soak lentils in water overnight
  • The next day, drain and  rinse with clean water.
  • Leave lentils in the same container on the counter.
  • By the third day, they should sprout and be ready to eat

Nena's Delicious Quinoa Patties in Yellow Tomato Sauce

Quinoa Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of cooked quinoa
  • 1 zucchini
  • ¼ medium onion                  
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 small branches of thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 leek (white part only)
  • ½ teaspoon of lemon pepper

Nena's Holiday Sea Bass with Basil Tomato Sauce

Try something new instead of turkey or ham for the holidays.  Fish is healthier and no holiday guilt!  Have a happy holiday & enjoy!

Ingredients - Basil sauce

  • 8 to 10 leaves of Italian Basil
  • Juice of 1 ½ lemon
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1 teaspoons of grape seed oil.
  • 3 teaspoons of water (adjust as needed)
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Sea Salt

Nena's Heavenly Holiday Snack Balls

Delicious!!!! Excellent for the holidays.  I like to roll them in more shredded coconut to make them even more beautiful and festive.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of dried figs
  • 1 cup of dried wild cherries
  • 1 cup of dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup of hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup of pistachios
  • 5 Brazil nuts
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened organic coconut shredded

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup of cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup of slice baby tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of chop cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of raw slice almond
  • 1/2 cup of chop very thin raw broccoli
  • ½ avocado cut in little square if desire
  • 1 cup of arugula or micro green
