Cherie Nassi

Cherie has over 14 years experience in facilitating support groups and conducting individual and family therapy. Cherie started her career in family support services working along side the Department of Children and Family Services. She then established teen support programs at
Palisades Charter High School where she worked with adolescents with chronic illness and children of parents with illness. During that time she began at the Cancer Support Community, working with individuals going through cancer diagnosis and treatment. At UCLA Simms/Mann Center for Integrated Oncology and the UCLA Breast Clinic, Cherie worked with Oncologists and nursing staff to assess and provide psychotherapeutic support the patients as part of a multi-interdisciplinary approach to cancer care. Continuing with her love for psycho-oncology support, she created a support program for individuals and caregivers at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica. Cherie enjoys her role as the mental health expert contributor and writes articles for Living Brentwood magazine. She has created programs to support trauma related issues, grief and loss and interpersonal skills building. She continues to share her 3 Steps To Heal from Grief and Trauma program through speaking engagements and podcasts. She currently splits her time between her private practice and the Trauma and Beyond Center.
