Tell Your Elected Officials: Keep Our Nation's Kids Safe

From the Center for Health, Environment & Justice (CHEJ): Toys R Us is selling products made out of polyvinyl chloride or PVC, the poison plastic, without adequate cautionary labeling for parents. This makes it virtually impossible for parents to know what toy products could potentially harm their children. Chemicals released during PVC's lifecycle are linked to chronic diseases on the rise in children including asthma, learning disabilities, obesity and cancer.

PVC and the hazardous chemical additives connected to it, such as organotins, in toys is an example of the need to reform federal law to protect consumers. Federal policymakers should reform America’s outdated chemical policies that are failing to protect families from toxic chemicals and materials currently on the market.

Tell your elected officials to help keep our nation's kids safe from toxic chemicals in toys.
