Hey Fran I love you!!! You are my idol forever!!!! I keep up with the latest activities and stuff with Cancer Schmancer!! You are such an Inspiration!!!! I wanna be like you!!! You havent aged a bit since your 20s oh yah thats because you are!!! HAHAH We The Future!! W.T.F
I read your story today and cried. It was like I wrote it myself, as my story is very similiar. Doctors told me I was healthy, and nothing was wrong with me,
all tests were negative. I even had an emergency doctor kinda laugh at me, and ask me why I was in the hospital I was fine, but I knew in my gut something was not right. Finally a D&C, and a note after surgery your fine, healthy ovaries, tubes, cervix and uterus, come see me in six weeks time. Okay maybe I am crazy, maybe it is all in my head.
Two days later a call from the secretary, doctor wants to see you. So there I sat all weekend worrying why, what happened to the six weeks. Well after hearing months of "nothing wrong with you", I heard cancer cell in the cervix. I was lucky, early detection, stage one.
I'm lucky because I didn't give up, but so many woman ignore, or believe, but we know our own body, and when one says no, go get a second opinion. Don't give up.
You made me laugh on the Nanny and today you made me cry, thank you for sharing your story with all of us.
HI FRAN, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY THE "BEST", I LOVE YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR. I WAS WORKING THRU THE 90s UNTIL APRIL 6, 1996, ON MY BIRTHDAY, I HAD A SERIOUS FALL, THE DR.S CALLED IT AN "ACUTE FALL" AND WHEN HE TOLD ME THAT, I SAID THERE WAS NOTHING CUTE ABOUT MY FALL. I MADE A FUNNY BUT THE DR. KIND OF RAISED HIS EYE BROW AND CARRIED ON, THATS WHEN I KNEW I WAS IN BIG TROUBLE AND THAT MY CONDITION OF MY BODY WAS IN A SERIOUS STATE. I HAD 12-15 DISC MESSED UP IN MY BACK AND MY TAIL BONE IS THE WORST, I ALSO INHERITED FROM MY MOTHER A BONE DEGENERATION DISEASE. MY BONES ARE AGING MORE AFTER I FELL. THE DR.S SAID THAT MY BONES ARE LIKE THAT OF A 90 YR OLD WOMAN. I FOUND MY LIFE WAS FILLED WITH ALOT OF PAIN AND WITH EACH DAY THAT PASSES IT ONLY GETS WORSE. I WAS 46 YRS OLD WHEN I FELL AND I LOOKED LIKE I WAS 35 YRS OLD. THE NEXT FEW YRS I WENT THRU SOME DEEP, DARK DEPRESSION ALTHOUGH I HID IT PRETTY WELL FROM MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. NOW ITS BETTER, AS LONG AS I DENIED OR TRIED TO IGNORE MY REALITY OF MY LIFE, IT SEEMED TO KEEP ME IN THAT DARK HOLE. ACCEPTING HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HARD THING FOR THIS OLE IRISH LASS AND MY BEING STUBBORN ONLY MADE IT ALL WORSE SO NOW I ACCEPT AND LIVE WITH PAIN 24/7 SOME DAYS ARE GOOD AND SOME DAYS NOT SO GOOD...

I was given the book, Cancer Schmancer by a cancer survior. I read the book in 2 days. Fran gave me hope and she put a smile on my face. She let me know, things will be okay even when they seem rotten at the time.
I will continue to fight the fight against this deadly disease.
Thanks Fran for your strong and positive outlook.

Fight the Fight
I was diagonised with Papillary Cancer on Nov 2009.
And was very inspired by Fran's Book. Cancer Schmancer.
It was given to me from a cancer survivor.
We can all beat this, if we fight the fight and believe.
Fran I love you song! You ROCK!

Fran is my hero
I am 40 years old and was diagonised with papllary Cancer in Nov 2009.
Oh By the way, I love your song. Brilliant.
