Laurie Meadoff CEO
Laurie joined the staff in April 2009 after a long history of executive producing programming for Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC, HBO Family, MTV and VH1 as Co-Founder and CEO of Chat Ventures. In 2001, she began a web program, Chat the Planet – a conduit of conversation with young people around the globe via satellite and recently executive produced the web series "Hometown Baghdad.” Laurie founded The CityKids Foundation, known for its artistic and leadership programming.
Jordan Brown Director of Policy & Public Affairs
Jordan works closely with Fran Drescher on Cancer Schmancer's advocacy efforts in Washington and in her role as Public Diplomacy Envoy for the US State Department. On staff since Cancer Schmancer launched, Jordan previously worked in Washington, DC for The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. Prior to that, he worked on several political campaigns. Jordan is a California native and studied Political Science and English at Stanford University.
Susan Holland Special Events Coordinator
Susan joined the Cancer Schmancer team in July 2008 as Special Events Coordinator after volunteering for the organization since its launch. Holland holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business and specializes in fashion buying, media sales, public relations, and event production. She has a passion for developing relationships and connecting people through events that entertain and make a difference in women’s health.
Jessica Liss Program Coordinator
Jessica joined the staff in July 2008 to manage web and online marketing, communications and program development for Cancer Schmancer. She graduated St. Thomas Aquinas College summa cum laude with a BA in Communications and Journalism. Previously, she had student experiences at Lifetime Television and Enrollment Marketing/Communications at her alma mater.
Rob Ornstein Fundraising & Finance Consultant
Rob joined Cancer Schmancer in June 2009 and provides fundraising consulting services with a focus on individual and foundation giving. In addition he handles general administration and operations. Rob has 19 years of nonprofit experience, with 10 years at Gay Men's Health Crisis in NYC.
