While much of the activity of cancer related nonprofits center on finding the cure- of course an extremely important and admirable goal- this organization takes a different focus. Cancer Schmancer works on what we can do in the mean time. Advocacy and education for early detection provide the best chance we have right now. Inspired by Fran's story, I sought out a way to make a difference but in a different way. That's Cancer Schmancer. I was with them in NYC for their amazing showing at the Revlon/EIF Run-Walk 2009, and I hope they only continue to grow and gain support for their important work. -marko1287
