Homemade Healthy Mouth

The sad truth about many toothpastes is that they contain harsh chemicals, artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, and other low-quality ingredients. Try these DIY all-natural alternatives.

For Brushing
Try brushing with baking soda or diluted hydrogen peroxide. If you prefer a paste, mix baking soda with coconut oil. You can add 1 drop of natural essential oil, such as peppermint or clove.

For Whitening/Polishing
Mix 1 tablespoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide. Leave uncovered so that the hydrogen peroxide can evaporate. Brush with this mixture once per month to whiten and polish. Or try brushing with activated charcoal — just be warned, it gets messy!

For Deep Cleaning
Want that just-left-the-dentist feeling? Brush with baking soda, creating  pastes with water that clings to the teeth. Then rinse with organic apple cider vinegar. Yes, your mouth will foam, so be prepared!
