DeeDee Ricks

Dee Dee Ricks is Founder of Ricks Consulting Group, Inc., which serves and advises hedge funds. She has focused exclusively on identifying new business opportunities and recruiting senior level talent to build strategies within the hedge fund industry, conducting searches for various positions across a variety of investment strategies.

Ms. Ricks is also an activist and philanthropist who has generously supported the Ralph Lauren Cancer Center, among other cancer charities. Her intimate and passionately told documentary, which is an ongoing project, chronicles her own experience fighting - and beating - breast cancer, while highlighting the inequities in our health care system at large. She has actively fundraised to establish an initial endowment for the Center. Ms. Ricks was one of the champions who helped the Ralph Lauren Center to be selected as the 2008 Beneficiary of the 100 Women In Hedge Funds. Their support will provide funding for the Center's Screening and Patient Navigation Programs, and establish two Satellite Patient Navigation Programs in medically underserved communities. She is also working with The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute in Arkansas to help expand breast screening across the state via a Modular Mammography Program. Dee Dee was honored at the 2008 kick off of Livestrong Day in New York City for her work as a philanthropist and activist. Dee Dee is currently a Board of Director for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Advocacy Alliance and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater New York City Affliliate as well as The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering. She has also served on the Board of the GRADS Foundation from 2000-2004 and is on the Board of The Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. She is an Advisory Board member for Hearts of Gold, an organization that supports homeless mothers in NYC, and she is very active in Robin Hood, a charity that serves the poor of New York.
