Haile Thomas - Eating Outside The “Kids Menu” Box - Food Day 2012

Food Day is a nationwide celebration and movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. It is the perfect time to EAT OUTSIDE the Typical “KIDS MENU” BOX!  I participated in one event at the Tucson Village Farm (see pics here) helping to teach kids how to make their own healthy and delicious salad dressings.

Then I hosted another, a “Pop-Up Healthy Pizza Picnic and Fun Food Presentation” event at my school with my Healthy Adventures Club for all the 6th and 7th graders.

We teamed up with an awesome Chef, Renee, from Renee’s Organic Oven.  She catered some of the most unique and best pizza I’ve ever had.  Check it out!!
