In the past few years I’ve been privileged to know two incredible women who have survived breast cancer. I’ve seen them go through the terror that is discovery to the unspeakable agony that is chemotherapy to the joy that is remission. I can’t imagine that kind of terror, where a healthy body is suddenly seized with sickness, and every day I feel grateful that I am healthy and relatively happy. As someone who’s starting a non-profit, I hold a special spot for brands and businesses that support great causes. So when I learned of this auspicious and totally FUN campaign, I had to share it with you guys! Here are the details: Everyone’s favorite nanny and hairdresser, Fran Drescher is using her infamous voice in conjunction with Paul Mitchell to raise awareness for a cause close to her, Cancer Schmancer. Drescher has recently taken on her most important role to date: founder and womens’ health advocate for the Cancer Schmancer foundation.
Paul Mitchell will offer the limited edition Pink Express Ion Smooth 1.25 ($160), from which a portion of proceeds will benefit Cancer Schmancer’s mission of empowering patients to build better relationships with their physicians, creating the intention of stage-one diagnosis.
I’ve used Paul Mitchell irons and they ROCK and a PONY. The iron doesn’t snag or tangle, and the ion technology effectively transforms your hair from super curly to super straight. Reduced styling time and frizz make this a covet-worthy find. A great cause and a product that works? OBVIOUSLY.
