I was first introduced to Cancer Schmancer over 2 yrs ago when I thought I had ovarian cancer. I was searching for answers and someone else who had gone through cancer. I found Cancer Schmancer and all their articles, helpful advice and Fran Drescher's active role in congress and in the media to be wonderful and inspiring. I lost two aunts to cancer because they waited too long to get tested or instead of getting a second opinion believed their doctor's first answer. Finding out later that one of my aunts could have beat cancer had she just followed her gut instinct and got a second opinion made her death even more heartbreaking. This is a great organization founded by a great woman. There is a long history of cancer in my family, and I feel that Cancer Schmancer has helped me better understand what I should and need to be doing in order to help myself. Not only do the people involved in CS talk to people about making a change, they try to make the change themselves by appealing to lawmakers. -Melanie
