Cancer Schmancer is one of the most important non-profit groups that exists right now. Nothing is more basic and meaningful than the message of empowering yourself over succumbing to cancer. So many people are suffering ONLY because they didn't get tested soon enough or because they didn't know what to look out for. Through education and medical policy change, no one should ever have to die of cancer ever again. It's our "Black Plague" - unstoppable once the disease takes over and it's too late. In this day and age, with our advancements in science and access to information, there is NO EXCUSE for cancer. People shouldn't have to lose a fight against their own bodies. It's heartbreaking. The suffering that families go through watching a loved one trudge through the fires of this disease is unbearable.
