This is a great organization! My mother has survived thyroid cancer twice, melanoma, and is currently battling breast cancer. I know first-hand the toll fighting cancer can take on a family. Currently, I teach medical assistant students. I have passed the information I've learned from Cancer Schmancer on to my students in the classroom. I explain to them the importance of passing this information along to our patients. As Ms. Drescher has stated, women are normally the caregivers of the family and spend so much time taking care of the family that they ignore their own health concerns, often times to the point its too late. We see this on a daily basis in the clinics. As a health care professional, one of the hardest parts of the job is to comfort a newly diagnosed woman whose prognosis may have been promising had she gotten treatment sooner. Cancer Schmancer is right - education is the key and stage 1 is the cure! -bdinstructor
Testimonials
I first off just want to say how much this organization has changed me as a person. Now I have never had cancer, but people in my family have. This is an organization to not only change people physically but to change them emotionally as well. I truly believe in my heart every word that Fran Drescher has said is true. She got famous, got cancer, but lived to talk about it. So she is talking. Trying to better peoples lives because she knows what it feels like to live with cancer. I feel her cancer was a blessing and God gave it to her to better peoples lives around her. Wherever i go i KNOW the words she speaks are from the heart. This is well deserved and together, standing as one, we WILL make a difference for good. - Missuluvugoodn8
As someone who has donated thousands and asked others to do the same I'm proud to say the value of how our money is used and how each member/supporter is treated is brilliant. To actually recieve a personalized thanks from Fran more than once and to have the team really thanks and support every effort shows just how much each team member cares about the cause and the supporters. Well done to Fran and the team, keep up the education -Brad Sugars
