I was really in the dark about cancer and how many people are affected by it and also things that I need to do to be better for myself. I personally don't know anyone who has had cancer or who has it now and that seems to be a rareity in today's world. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2008. Luckily it was caught early because it was very fast moving. She recently received her last chemotherapy treatment and is currently undergoing radiation. I'm so thankful that the doctors caught it early, because it really does make a difference. I love the work this foundation is doing because diagnosing cancer while it's still in stage one is really important and it saves lives!
